On the occasion of Paper Sunday, the State Archives of Isernia opens its doors for an exhibition dedicated to how the territory was described before the digital age. Through 19th and 20th century maps, cadastres, registers and other archival documents, visitors can discover the tools and languages used to represent borders, roads and landscapes of Molise. An opportunity to closely observe the patient work of cartographers and officials, and to reflect on how much our way of orienting ourselves has changed with the advent of GPS and digital maps.
